Slow: I used a shutter speed of approximately 1/40th of a second. As you can see in the photo, the car is in partial focus. However, when you look beyond the vehicle, the trees and homes in the distance are completely blurry. |
Medium: the Highway Patrol car nearly in full focus. When you look at what is behind the car, you can see that the homes are a lot more in focus than in the first photo. For the middle photo, my shutter speed was set to about 1/200th of a second |
Slow: Fast: I used a fast shutter speed that was set to about 1/1000th of a second. In this photo, the truck is nearly in complete focus. Also, beyond the truck, the homes and trees and in focus unlike the first photo. This is due to the faster shutter speed. The shutter speed was so fast it nearly made the road sign in focus. |
Slow: I used a shutter speed of about 1/50th of a second. As you can see the blades of the fan are completely out of focus as well as the plant in the background. Another element is the shadow on the ceiling is blurry due to the slow shutter. |
Medium: In this photo, I used a shutter speed of about 1/150th of a second . As you can tell in the photo the blades of the fan look like they have slowed down and become more in focus even though the fan is moving at the same speed as the previous photo. Also, the plant and blinds in the background are becoming more focused because of the faster shutter speed. |
Fast: In this photo, I used a shutter speed of about 1/1000th of a second. The blades in this photo look completely still even though the fan was moving on a high setting. Also, the shadow on the ceiling is still unlike the first photo where the shadow was completely blurry. |
Slow: In this photo, my parents were throwing a beach ball across the room. I started with a slow shutter speed of 1/60th of a second. You can tell that my dads hands were out of focus as well as the image that was on the TV. The ball is somewhat in focus but not compared to in the photos with a faster shutter speed. |
Medium: In this photo, the ball was captured with a shutter speed of about 1/150th of a second. The image on the TV comes into focus and the ball looks more still in the air. Also, the pictures on the wall are in a stronger focus than in the first picture. |
Fast: In this photo, the ball is almost completely in focus due to the 1/1000 of a second shutter speed. The image on the TV is focused in on and it looks a lot better. I had to use the flash for lighting purposes but the picture still turned out. |
